Unlike deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage works with the lymphatic system using slow, rhythmic movements rather than firm pressure. It's commonly chosen for fluid retention, post-surgery recovery and overall wellbeing. Your treatment is provided by experienced TCM practitioners who combine manual lymphatic drainage with their wider understanding of the body to deliver a more complete treatment.

If you're dealing with muscle tension, pain or feeling run-down, cupping therapy can help ease tension and support your body's natural recovery. At Meditation TaiChi, we combine authentic Chinese cupping with personalised Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) care to help you feel more balanced and comfortable.

Your practitioner will briefly check your symptoms and concerns before choosing the most suitable cupping technique, placement and pressure for you. Cupping may help relieve muscle tension and pain, support circulation, reduce feelings of stiffness and promote relaxation. It can also be combined with Tuina, acupuncture or other TCM treatments where appropriate. Circular red, purple or darker marks are common afterwards and usually fade naturally over several days.

Our experienced TCM practitioners look at your main concern alongside your overall wellbeing, including areas such as sleep, digestion, energy, stress and lifestyle. Your consultation may also include checking your tongue and pulse. We'll then explain our findings and recommend a personalised treatment plan, which may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tuina massage, cupping or a combination of treatments.

TCM ​​Consultation

A natural, personalised approach to better health with Chinese herbal medicine. Your practitioner first takes time to understand your symptoms and wider health before creating a herbal treatment around you.

Chinese herbal medicine uses combinations of herbs selected according to your individual TCM assessment. It can support a wide range of concerns, including digestion, sleep and stress, women's health and fertility, hormonal balance, skin health, pain and recovery. Your £30 consultation is the first step. Herbal medicine is charged separately.
